6th gradE DANCE PROGRAM

The MidWeeklies, Inc. 6th grade dance program offers traditional dance instruction in a formal setting at Calvary Presbyterian Church in San Francisco.

The annual program includes (7) dances on Thursday evenings during the school year.

The Dress code includes dresses or party skirts of an appropriate length (no more than 2” above the knee), skin toned stockings & closed-toed leather dress shoes. Sleeveless tops are acceptable only when covered with a sweater or jacket. White gloves are required. 

Alternatively, a blazer, tie, long-sleeved shirt, dress trousers and leather dress shoes can be worn. Please label all blazers as they may be taken off during dancing. 

The following clothing items are not permitted: Denim, tee shirts, tank tops, low cut or see-through clothing, leggings, athletic shoes/sneakers, heels, sandals, clogs or boots.

The dress code is strictly enforced. Due to safety and hygiene, we try to make sure there is no skin-to-skin contact for the formal dances.

Within the scope of the dress code, each participant should dress in the manner they identify themselves. 

To be fair and transparent as possible, sections are assigned electronically by the date and time stamp of registration. With the amount of schools and children participating, we truly thank you for understanding that we can not make any special exceptions.
